The Wireless Planning and Coordination (WPC) Wing, part of the Ministry of Communications and the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), oversees Frequency Spectrum Management and licensing for all wireless users across the country. It fulfills statutory responsibilities of the Central Government by issuing licenses for the establishment, maintenance, and operation of wireless stations.

RF testing is a method for assessing the frequency performance of radio equipment, ensuring efficient use of the spectrum. All products operating within wireless frequency bands must obtain RF test reports from an accredited laboratory to qualify for WPC certification.
